About Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines is the flag carrier of Ethiopia which was founded on December 21, 1945 and started operating from April 9, 1946. The airline is wholly owned by the Government of Ethiopia and operates scheduled cargo and passenger services to over 124 destinations from its hub at the Bole International Airport. The airline flies to more destinations in Africa than any other airline and is among the largest airlines on the African Continent. Ethiopian Airlines has won many awards including The African Cargo Airline of the Year, the Best Regional Airline of the Year and has been a member of the Star Alliance since 2011.
